THE HARPSICHORD THROUGH THE AGES
In the 20th century, the harpsichord underwent a profound metamorphosis. The instrument began to shed its antiquated persona by venturing beyond its historic confines. Emerging into the 21st century, its modern relevance has been further anchored, largely owing to pioneering advocates like Mahan Esfahani, the award-winning Harpsichordist, who has commissioned works from a host of eminent composers. Today, Harpsichord represents a dynamic fusion of tradition and innovation. »Intertwined Distances« is a mesmerising exploration of such connections across time and space.
